Air Skates Training

Safelift Offshore have successfully delivered another training package on air skate load moving systems at our Harlaw Training Facility for CNR International. This was conducted to support a joint Aker Solutions/CNR project to move 2 x 15,000kg water injection pumps 3 x 20,000kg generators and a 10,000kg transformer on the Ninian North platform as part of their decommissioning process.
Safelift have assisted previously with similar projects for CNR and several other operators with short term hire and supply of air skates for special projects.
Air skate load moving is a flexible alternative to conventional lifting, especially in the hard to get to areas. Safelift provides a very easy to use system which is quick to deploy and operate. We have noticed a rise in the sale and hire of these systems which are being greatly utilised in the decommissioning field.
