Offshore Milestone

Kevin Watt our Technical Co-Ordinator visited the Talisman Montrose platform last week, Safelift's first person offshore since our MD Peter Innes over 10years ago.

The existing Montrose platform, originally installed in 1976 and one of the oldest in the UK North Sea, is undergoing significant modifications including the development of a new Montrose Bridge Linked Platform (BLP) which is planned to be installed in 2015.

Kevin was tasked with providing assistance in the use and selection of Safelift manual handling and deck equipment products to overcome space restrictions for the removal of pipework, spools and valves.

With Safelift now providing offshore personnel to conduct mechanical & manual handling aid guidance offshore. Kevin's trip will hopefully prove to be a dawn of a new era.
